A between seasons special of the TV series Psych, before its eighth season, premiered on television December 15th. The episode’s title is “Psych the Musical”. It was two hours long and as the title suggests, during the entire episode the cast had been singing and dancing.In Psych the musical all songs were written by the creator and director of the show Steve Franks.

“Steve Franks our fearless leader wrote a bunch of great original songs,” told James Roday who plays main character Shawn Spencer on a behind the scenes clip posted on USA network’s Psych the Musical countdown.

Ever since its premier in 2006, the USA network show Psych has maintained a solid fanbase. Psych is a detective comedy-drama and has something to offer for many different audiences.With the ending of the seventh season  on may 29th 2013 psych fans have eagerly awaited the eighth season and are excited for this special episode.

“I am very excited to watch Psych the Musical,” said sophmore Matt Cabral.

After waiting for half a year Psych fans have been relieved to watch something new. If you haven’t seen it you may want to check it out.
