Harvey Hopping to Success

Play Production does it again with another laugh-out-loud comedy.

Hervey was well acted and if you know the people who starred in it, it was perfectly casted. Full of sass, confusion, kindness, and laughter, students just can’t stop talking about it.

The play stars Harvey, a 6’1 white rabbit who absolutely loves to stir up trouble. Hopping his way around through town, he is able to change every character’s view throughout the play, for the better or for the insane.

Before the show could even go on, Stage Crafts was busy working behind the scenes.  This year had the most elaborate scene changes with the new interchanging walls. The walls, as the popular saying goes, “just kept tumbling down.” Every night at rehearsal the walls would fall down, sometimes even on the actors or actresses.

Ryan Motter had a lot of fun with the paint as he went up to multiple people and would draw a line of paint on their foreheads saying, “Simba.”

Allison Sherer limped around until opening night. She had been on crutches for all rehearsals and for a few months before the play. However, Thursday night she strode onto the stage with no crutches or boot. Talk about perfect timing!

Did you go to the Friday showing? If so, you might have witnessed the hanger which mysteriously appeared on one of the trees during the play. I wonder who might have put it there?

Keep an eye out for the musical coming out soon, and don’t wait to get your ticket!
