This day in history: December 2nd

1804: Napoleon Bonaparte was officially crowned as the Emperor of France. Following this ceremony, Napoleon instated his own command as the leader of France for 10 years, a contract which was renewed to 14 years. During this time, Napoleon extended the power ands control of the French Empire through a series of Napoleonic Wars. Napoleon was eventually deposed ands sentenced to exile in 1814, following a series of military defeats and political uncertainty.
